Awards & Acknowledgements!
All In Washington Announces First Round of Vaccine Equity Initiative Grants with $2.8M for Community-based Organizations, including COO partners:
African Americans Reach and Teach Health Ministry will provide weekly vaccination clinics, community engagement and outreach efforts, and registration support for the Black community in King County.
African Community Housing and Development will conduct linguistically and culturally appropriate outreach, provide registration support, transportation, and interpretation services for the Black African Diaspora immigrant and refugee community in South Seattle and South King County.
Casa Latina will partner with UW Medicine and Harborview Medical Center to provide vaccination clinics, registration, transportation, and outreach services for members of immigrant, low-income, and homeless Latinx communities in King County.
Centro Cultural Mexicano will partner with UW Latino Center for Health to provide culturally and linguistically relevant outreach, education, and a pop-up vaccine clinic for the Latinx community in King County.
Coalition of Immigrants, Refugees and Communities of Color will provide vaccination, translation, broadcasting services, and information for the East African and BIPOC community in King County. This project is fiscally sponsored by the Eritrean Association in Greater Seattle.
Comunidad Latina de Vashon will partner with the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) to create a community-wide education campaign to dispel misinformation and mistrust of the COVID vaccine and utilize community leaders to disseminate clear and trusted information within the Latinx, migrant worker, and refugee community on Vashon Island. This project is fiscally sponsored by the Latino Community Fund of Washington.
El Centro de la Raza will provide partner and participant coordination, community outreach, registration, and administration of pop-up vaccination events in Seattle and Federal Way for the Latinx community.
Global to Local will provide outreach, education, and community engagement to increase access to vaccines in immigrant and refugee, Spanish-speaking, and East African communities across SeaTac, Tukwila, and surrounding communities in South King County.
Iraqi/Arab Health Board will facilitate monthly pop-up clinics and provide outreach and transportation services. This project will support Arabic-speaking immigrant and refugee communities including Iraqis, Palestinians, Libyans, Egyptians, Syrians, Moroccans, and Yemenis in King and Snohomish Counties. This project is fiscally sponsored by the Somali Health Board.
MCNA – Muslim Community & Neighborhood Association will partner with Islamic Centers to provide mobile, pop-up, and door-to-door vaccination efforts and conduct culturally and linguistically appropriate vaccine outreach for the Muslim community throughout Washington State. This project is fiscally sponsored by Ar Rahman Tutoring.
Para Los Niños will partner with Public Health and Latinos Promoting Good Health to provide essential culturally and linguistically appropriate information, resources, and support on COVID-19 vaccines to Latinx immigrant families in South King County.
Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority (SCIDpda) will provide vaccination outreach, registration, and access for the residents of Seattle’s Chinatown International District.
Somali Health Board will provide vaccination events, conduct linguistically and culturally appropriate outreach, provide registration support, transportation, and interpretation services for the Somali community in King County.
Somali Youth and Family Club will coordinate vaccine access and registration for immigrant and refugee communities from Africa living in King County.
The Maternal Coalition will provide support and information to BIPOC pregnant and parenting people as well as birth workers about how to access the COVID-19 vaccine throughout Washington State.
U.T.O.P.I.A. Seattle will provide vaccination outreach to communities hardest hit by COVID-19, with high emphasis in reaching out to Pacific Islander, Native Hawaiian, Queer, Trans, and Gender Diverse BIPOC, immigrant and refugee communities in King County.
