Young Women Empowered (Y-WE) Tech program
Y-WE Tech
In Y-WE Tech, young women, trans, non-binary, and gender expansive youth ages 13–19 explore ways to use technology tools for learning, career success, self-expression, social change and the history of women and femmes in technology. Within an intergenerational community of diverse youth and adult femme mentors, we get hands-on with hardware and software, develop college and career readiness (while being critical about what that means), grow as leaders, and discover ways we can use technology to make a difference in our world. Free to attend!
Y-WE are currently accepting applications for our 2023-2024 cohort! Apply here.
2023-2024 School-Year Cohort:

Location: The Y-WE Building (5623 Rainier Ave S)
Facilitated by Shanell Powell and Y-WE Alum Anika Rao
[Y-WE Tech] helped me realize that there are faces behind technology and organizations. It helped me see that I could be just like them and be successful in STEM if I want to.
