P-5 Innovation Funds aim to build up the power of community-driven Innovation to meet the emergent needs of families in King County. We seek community leaders to design, develop, test, and build the potential of innovative Anti-racist approaches (e.g. policies, programs, products, media, places, and services) centering Black families, Indigenous families, families of color, immigrant and refugee families, LGBTQ+ families, families with disabilities, families involved in the child welfare system, low-income families, and those geographically isolated.

Scope of Work: P-5 Innovation Funds aim to build up the power of Community-led Innovation to meet the emergent needs of families in King County. King County seeks community leaders to design, develop, test, and build the potential of innovative Anti-racist approaches (e.g. policies, programs, products, media, places, and services) so that ALL babies and children in King County grow up to be happy, healthy, safe, and thriving.

Funding Availability: Approximately $900,000 is available through Best Starts to support the P-5 Innovation Fund. Proposers may request up to $30,000 for all activities, with the exception that proposals for Small Scale Implementation (pilot) activities may request up to $50,000.

Options for Submitting A Proposal: All proposals will need to be submitted through Microsoft Forms. Proposers may choose to respond to Narrative Questions using one of the following options. Proposal questions and review criteria will be the same for all three submission options. Questions and criteria are available in Attachment A.
Option 1: Written - All questions submitted in writing via Microsoft Forms.
Option 2: Video Recording - up to 45 minutes video recording. See Section IV. B in the RFP for more details.
Option 3: Virtual Interview - up to 45 minutes virtual interview. See Section IV. B in the RFP for more details.

Language Access: Proposers may request language translation and/or interpretation for this RFP. Proposers should allow a minimum of 2 weeks for interpretation services to be made available, and 5 days for written translation requests.
