This weekend, we will celebrate a significant community milestone at the Africatown Plaza Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting on Saturday, October 5th from 11AM - 2PM!

Africatown Plaza adds 126 new affordable housing units to the Central District, representing a major step toward addressing local housing needs.

This historic event will include special guests, community performances, food and tours, marking the culmination of years of advocacy, vision and action for community equity a reality.

Created by partners Africatown Community Land Trust (ACLT) and Community Roots Housing, this 7-story, 126 unit, mixed-use development includes housing affordable to families and individuals earning up to 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI) alongside neighborhood resources to anchor, celebrate, and empower Seattle’s African-American community.
