Event 3: Housing Cooperatives with Ten Penny Studio
Date/Time: November 6 at 5:45pm
Location: Beacon Hill, Seattle
Description: Participants will tour the housing co-op in construction and hear from Kelly Sommerfield, principal architect at (https://www.tenpennystudio.com/), who will give a brief overview of their ADU co-op project and specifics of their co-housing model.
Then participants will be encouraged to join the conversation on co-op and co-housing models, moderated by Kelly, including conversations on:
How our neighborhoods, the climate and the world are changing due to ongoing climate and housing crises.
How might communal living models help or impede community resiliency when there is the inevitable collapse?
What is your co-living lineage (or lack thereof)? What scales of communal living works or might work for you? Are there ways you already live communally on your block, in your neighborhood, with your community?
Food will be provided from a local venue.
