Lina Thompson, Senior Pastor and Teaching Elder. Co-Leader of Burien Collaborative
Lina’s favorite part of being Pastor at Lake B:

We talk a lot around here about what the ‘Gospel Fully Alive’ looks like.  We believe it means that we are willing to take risks, engaging tough conversations, giving lots of grace, growing in our love for God through worship and service, and making sure that we are centering God’s heart for those who are most marginalized in our community – particularly the voice of young people.
Other things to note:
Lina is a long-time resident of White Center, and proud graduate of Evergreen HS and Washington State University and received her Master's of Divinity degree from Fuller Seminary.

Katie Russell, Burien Collaborative Program Coordinator

Katie Russell is the consistent force behind the scenes of the Burien Collaborative. As the Program Coordinator, she brings years of non-profit experience running programming and organizational leadership in Operations, Human Resources, Development and Finance.

Katie is a believer in the power of collective decision-making and that things are better when accomplished together in authentic community.  Her human-centered approach is about truly understanding and empowering individuals to contribute their best to the collective vision.  She loves the Burien community and its rich diversity, delicious food, and connectedness to one another.

Although she is a true lover of details and organization, her dedication goes beyond logistics, as she believes in the profound impact of authentic connections as an indispensable part of the collaborative ethos.

Katie can often be found engaging in soul-refreshing activities: exploring new places, spending time in and near water, capturing moments with her camera, and enjoying playful moments with her dog, Kozy.
