The WA State Office of Equity' March Digital Equity Forum (DEF) meeting is on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. The Digital Equity Forum is a collaboration between public and private stakeholders to provide policy recommendations that improve digital access—such as internet and devices—for everyone across Washington state.

The meeting will cover two things:

HB 1517 Presentation & Vote
Speaker(s): David Keyes & Will Booth
Time: 1:00 – 1:30 PM
Agenda: The DEF has invited supporters of HB 1517 to present on the bill, which will be followed by a discussion and Q&A period. DEF members will then decide whether to vote to draft a letter of support for this initiative.

Equity Training for DEF Members – Aligning and Strengthening Our Digital Equity Efforts
Speaker: Lindsey T. H. Jackson, LTHJ Global
Time: 1:30 – 3:00 PM
This session will provide DEF members with tools and strategies to align and enhance our digital equity initiatives by reflecting on our charter commitments, acknowledging progress, assessing implementation, strengthening accountability, and recommitting to our collective purpose.

DEF members will lead the discussions, the public is welcome to observe and participate during the public comment portion

Together, we can shape the future of digital equity in Washington!
