People’s Economy 101 Part 1: Learn and Inspire

Explore and understand the history of our current economic system and what is contributing to an extractive economy
Using the Just Transition framework, explore community-based strategies to build an economy and economic practices that are transformative, equitable, and regenerative.
Community Development Lunch and Learn
April 19 from 11 am - 12 pm
Each month, we will be alternating deep dives on specific topics with drop-in sessions where participants can ask questions and discuss their projects with peers and community development experts.
People’s Economy 101 Part 2: Applying Concept
April 21 from 1 pm - 3 pm
Focus on the need to create and build new economic structures rooted in the experiences of our community.
Organizing for Justice
May 10 - 13 from 10 am - 3 pm
This highly respected four-day training by Midwest Academy provides concrete skills as well as a framework for effective organizing for racial, economic and social justice.
Supervising Organizers
June 14 - 16 from 10 am - 3 pm
The Midwest Academy’s Supervising Organizers training deals with the specific challenges of guiding organizers to do their best work.
