The WICRC will build relationships with public officials and develop leadership within the Native community through a series of advocacy and listening events with the Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families.

In 2019, WICRC will elevate Native people to roles on boards and commissions through networking and relationship building; host advance learning workshops to prepare community for service. Advocate for creation of coordinated Native taskforce to track indigenous missing and murdered women.
